Birds in the Orchard 11

Usually I turn everything around so the quilt can be used anyway on a double or bigger bed, but thought I would keep just one design with everything facing the same way. I made a queen size sampler quilt for our bed which had a top and bottom, and after twenty years I had to remove the top row because it was falling to pieces.

Perhaps that is why the last few years have been almost devoid of quilt making time, as the top row included a sewing machine and a quilt block in a hoop for hand quilting.

Not many birds in this orchard, but we have planted two new fruit trees, and plans are underway to protect at least some of the fruit from bird attack.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

    • Laura,

Well loved, and well used. Every block represents something about us, our interests, our children etc. Can you guess which of us is interested in the quilt hoop and the sewing machine?
