I wonder how many designs could be created using just the one applique shape?
I have a Brother Scan’N’Cut, and though I haven’t used it a great deal, I have managed to fit a few of those leaves into spaces around pieces I am cutting for a current project, which in time will build up a collection of scrappy beads to use.
OMG this is stunning!! Totally doable with the Brother Scan n’Cut! I have one, too, they’re awesome. LOVE this!

Patty,
Thank you.
I thought that the die cutters would be a great idea for commercial use, but not for me … the Scan’N’Cut is perfect for home use.

A great design! I don’t have any kind of scan and cut machine, so this would take me a long time if I were to actually do it!

Laura,
I worked out that I could cut them about four at a time with good scissors … so doesn’t take as long as you might think!

I do love your ‘beads’ designs, they always look so fresh, spring-like and make me smile.
I bought a SnC when they first appeared in the UK as I was having trouble transitioning from dress making shears to rotary cutter (which I now use for almost all my cutting!). I still haven’t used it for fabric! My OH adopted it for his model plane making….

Toni,
Thank you. I started playing with ‘beads’ long before I got EQ5, and I have spent a lot of time converting pencil sketches to EQ … and have found out that they are way more versatile than I thought they were when scribbling the pencil versions … and a lot prettier too!
I have used it for cutting paper for a friend who does paper craft, but am going to limit that use to using blunt blades in the future … like I do with scissors! I have a UFO at the top of the pile which is screaming for attention, and when I can’t listen to that anymore my sewing room Brother will get it’s first serious workout!
