Framed by Logs 15

Middle of the week again … time to share some quilt designs based on Log Cabin blocks.

Framed by Logs OP 11

These designs are for frames, created by twisting and turning a variety of Log Cabin block variations.

Next week I will add pieced blocks, including several Log Cabin variations, into the blank canvas inside the frames.

After all, it has been quite a while since I last shared anything from this project file, so it is about time to play with this particular concept again, though I don’t have to play with Log Cabin variations just yet, as there are plenty waiting for their day out in the virtual world..

I might start playing with applique though! I am wondering if I will add the applique to the pieced blocks or not … or both.

Then I will add have to add some quilting … but first I will play with the frames a bit more before I select some appliques to add.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

You mean I have to use my imagination to fill in the gaps? The sky is the limit, as they say. I did a block of the month years ago that had appliques in the centre of 4 blocks joined. That was interesting. Plenty of open space for different ideas.
