PJ 1111 5, 6 Carpet Square

PJ 1111 Carpet Square

Yesterday the Patchwork Jigsaw designs I shared were designed with single units.

With the designs for today the basic squares are used to make 2 x 2 blocks before constructing the quilt top.

I am wondering if there are more possibilities with these two shapes than with Log Cabin blocks, or the single shape used for String of Beads.

I think the limitations with all three are mainly created by lack of time to play.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

Interesting, I didn’t realise how many combinations there could be. I like the last one’s colour combination.

    • Cindy,

I have a wish … for a program which will draw and colour the millions of blocks possible with these two shapes. Then I would only have to design quilts with them, not try and keep to some logical plan to keep the blocks organised!
