Iron Lace Borders Q’n’A 9

Iron Lace Borders Q'n'A 9

After downloading Electric Quilt 8 I started changing project files from EQ7 to the upgraded version. I think I have almost reached the end of that road, as I think I have changed nearly all of the projects where I have virtual quilts waiting for their day in the spotlight on this blog. Along the way I have started a few new projects, retired a few, added more designs to most, and have reached the point of being comfortable with the new version of the program.

I don’t want to know just how many project files there are, but I found a few gems I had not opened for a long time, changed the fabric choices in some, redrew a lot of applique blocks, and I have kept learning about what I like in quilt designs.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

If it has taken you this much time to feel comfortable, not sure if I want to go there, although have purchased the upgrade to do so.

    • Judy,

It took a while because I was unpacking, loosing what I had unpacked, and spending way more time than I would have liked looking for the pins and cutting rulers, so wasn’t really spending a lot of time concentrating until the last month or so. Every so often I find little things which EQ7 didn’t do, so worth while hanging in there!
