Strawberry Fete 1

Strawberry Fete 1

My first effort in EQ8.

Blocks from my EQ7 library with some modifications required, particularly when I got to the quilting layer. Fabrics from both EQ7 and 8 libraries.

Still need to play some more so I reach for the right tool which is no longer in the right place!

I am not quite happy with the fabric choices, but close, and need to modify some blocks, and make many more quilting variations … which will help me become more familiar with the new program.

PS ……….. now WordPress have made some changes too. Is this the season for all things familiar to us to change  in the virtual world?

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

With the green being prominent with touches of red it looks like a possible Christmas Quilt.

I know what you mean about the season of change. At work we are getting a new ADT system, new temporary emergency department, moving our switchboard and admitting desk and changing to a central registration system for our health region and then will come a new chart tracking system. I hope that when they say change and learning new things keeps you young that it works.
I did the upgrade to EQ 8 as well and so far it is really nice but like you said the tools are in a different place.
