City Courthouse 71

Yet another week has rolled on by!

I have learned over the last three months that ‘retire’ means that you get tired, take a break, then get tired again, but at long last I can see where my sewing machine is! I just have to clear the stuff on top of it away, and find some fabric to sew.

Like the design above.

My quilting frame is set up too, but I have yet to find one of several quilt sandwiches I have stashed away in a box still.

Slight variation of the one above, and I love the variation!

Always love dark background areas which make the light areas shine.

As always, more log Cabin designs mid week, next week.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

You’ve been very busy, but you will find your projects soon. 🙂

Yes retirement is exhausting – especially if you have grandchildren and the family move in with you! I have just got a room back to sew in (daughter and co have rented after 21 months with us). Taking ages to get sorted out and actually start sewing again!
Enjoy your sewing when you are settled in .
And thank you as always for the inspiring designs – isn’t EQ (and the other design programs I guess) wonderful…

    • Toni,

As I have just said in reply to another comment, I think I have become that kid in the back seat of the car saying ‘Are we there yet?’

I live in hope those quilt sandwiches will be in the next box I choose to open! At least they won’t be stale!

I can hardly wait to be exhausted with retirement LOL. I thought I would have lots of time to sew this summer but not to be. I would not change it for the world thought because I had my granddaughter and her parents come for a week in July and then another week spent with my grandson and his new sister in August. Then a weekend with the newest grandson in September. Gotta love those grandchildren. If I didn’t have to work I would be able to sew on the days when they weren’t here!.
I really love the last design.
