Cornerstone + Blues 91

I wonder why winter saves some of the coldest bits until last?

This series of designs always makes me think of warm quilts of the real kind, not just the virtual designs I share every day.

Mind you, it would look rather like tartan in black and greens, or red, black and a touch of green. But then tartans are made of pure wool … another link to something warm.

Regardless of the colours, I like the designs, which use Chimneys and Cornerstones variation of Log Cabin blocks.

I like all the designs this week …

… but I saved the best until last.

More Log Cabin quilt designs next week, mid week.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

  1. I like them all too but my favorites are the first, second and fourth ones. I really like the pinwheel in the center of the fourth one and the second one in the smaller picture from a distance is really quite stunning. I also love the color combo but could definitely see tartan when you talked about red, green and black colors LOL
