This one has three fabrics … love the touches of light green amongst the white and dark green.
Love the birds on the birdbaths in the corners. The touches of light green definitely add interest and bring your eye back to the magnificent center medallion.
When I added that bird bath to this project file, I really thought it would be one block which wouldn’t work well with the colours and contrasts limited to the background and one other fabric. It surprised me!
The applique would be so much simpler in just one piece, even easier now I have a ScanNCut to do the fiddly cutting, but I am wondering how it would look if I cut out the pieces individually for hand applique … how much dimension will be lost if it is all cut as one piece, how much added if cut individually and appliqued by hand. I think I might do a quilt with one piece applique, a cushion by hand!
But first there are the UFOs the get finished!

I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.
