Cabin Fever Quilted 11, 12, 13, 14, 15

Another week has streaked past … with little gardening and no real quilting done!

Did at least manage some virtual quilting, and some sewing. I have made a fitted cover for the back of a new recliner … four times … and finally have it on the chair, not to be removed unless it needs washing. Only the seat and arms to be covered!

I like the loopy quilting design … light and airy compared to the seam lines of a Log Cabin.

Looks simple enough to do by machine, and certainly works for us hand quilters.

It even forms a loopy star in the centre!

That was a surprise for me.

There are still some issues when I twist and turn the design to fit the blocks, but that gives me a reason to keep playing with virtual quilting.

More Log Cabin designs next week, mid week, so we can have a tiny moment retreating from the realities of the world.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

A fitted cover…probably not something that I would tackle. Ha, ha!

    • Gail,

Thank you … but I must admit that these are virtual designs, and 99% of them will never be made, at least by me. I play with Electric Quilt 7 like other people play computer games, and in an hour or so I can have dozens of new designs, and as I prefer hand quilting, and even some piecing and a lot of applique by hand too, I don’t make very many … I just share at least one design here every day.

    • Marie,

I will spend some time playing with the quilting design I have used here … it needs a few tweaks in places, but it is one which would be easy to do by machine, and very effective by hand as well.

Love these. The loopy center is fabulous. I think I may incorporate it into one of my log cabins if you don’t mind.
