Another oldie, another goodie!
Another link worth a read … this time about quilting a block for somebody else!

I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.
Thanks for the link to see Lori’s blog. Wish I were as proficient at free-motion quilting as she is. She makes it look like a “piece of cake.” Oh well. But it sure is lovely to look at. Do you have time to make “real” quilts anymore. I know you spend a LOT of time designing your virtual quilts.
Hugs!

Averyclaire,
Real quilts keep getting sidelined by gardening, dressmaking and mending, family affairs, … in other words, life in general. However, some very slow progress is being made at reducing the UFO pile. That pile is far larger than the virtual quilt files, at least in volume!
I do not enjoy machine quilting … my machine has two speeds, stop, and flat out … though there is a slow button, I hate using it! Machine quilting needs a lot of patience to get right!

Laura,
I suspect that we follow quite a few of the same blogs … Lori being just one!

I love the article too. I agree that it is very easy to get sidelined by life and like you I have a UFO pile that is waiting. It is slowly starting to come down but only because I have put a strict restriction on myself about starting anything new. (still happens but it has slowed it down somewhat)

Cindy,
I am determined to finish all the tops I started as teaching aids … most of them are going to charities of some sort, as I was aiming at having a wide variety of samples rather than just what I liked personally. Now I could show them dozens of virtual samples!
