I could have included this series amongst the Christmas themed designs … perhaps with partridges instead of peacocks.
However, I think they would be elegant designs on almost any bed, in any bedroom anytime of the year … except when it is too hot to use a quilt.

This is LOVELY. Would make a beautiful appliqued and hand quilted quilt. Hope you had a blessed Christmas and wishing you a peace-filled New Year. We had a terrible ice storm today…first really bad weather for us here in Chicago the entire winter so far. Hope you are enjoying ?summer? with its sunshine and warmth!

Averyclaire,
Thank you! We had a very quiet Christmas with just three of us here … but it was still enjoyable, and we managed to eat just a bit more than we should have.
I am enjoying quiet days with the air conditioner going … we have had a couple of heatwaves, with a couple of cooler days in between them, and it appears to be the pattern which will continue through the next month or so. Sometimes the cooler periods are a gradual build up to the really hot days.
Bushfires are unlikely in this area, thankfully, as about 200 homes have been burnt in South Australia and Victoria, some of them holiday homes, but many of them in one area were farm houses.

Gorgeous! And I see that Kat is eyeing those peacocks!
Winter storm here, too, in the northeastern corner of Washington state, USA. I had to wait for a tree removal crew to clear the road before I could continue on my way to work. Was late, but that is better than the alternative.
Are you in the midst of a heat wave? Want some of my snow? 🙂

Laura,
Yes, the Kat is looking for another Christmas lunch!
We are between heat waves at the moment … building up to the next one. We usually miss the worst of the heat here, but have managed to score several centuries in the old Fahrenheit scale, so have been in the thick of it this summer. I am sorry to say, that even with the most efficient mail delivery service your ice and snow will just melt on the way down under!
