Log Cabin Baby Blocks 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15

Log Cabin Baby Blocks 11

Log Cabin Baby Blocks 12

The one above and the next two are the same design with the colours shuffled around a bit.

Log Cabin Baby Blocks 13

I like the first of the variations ,,, the one above not so much.

Log Cabin Baby Blocks 14

Like the third variation.

Log Cabin Baby Blocks 15

Still the same layout, but with some triangular blocks replacing the diamond shaped blocks.

  1. I like the first and the second designs. I like the first because of the depth perception…a bright star behind the hex. I like the second because it shows a comparison of what value/color placement will do.

    • Laura,

I prefer both of those as well … and if I was going to make one it would be the first.

I have also found that the setting is limiting in that there are only variations of hexagons and stars, but it is a pleasant change from squares which have their own limitations.

Of the three of the same design I agree with you about liking the first and third. I found the first one of the series nice too! But of the all I really like the very first one and the third variation!

    • Cindy,

Thank you … it is always interesting to know which designs others like. Sometimes I can predict which ones, sometimes I am surprised … this time no real surprise.

I like the first one more, but they are all very interesting in their own way. I think you would have to be more accurate in doing a diamond shaped Log Cabin, I’ll have to try one one day!
