After Pompeii 37, 38, 39 and 40

After Pompeii 37

I have been the Virtual Quilter for six years today … have worked on a few real quilts, but not many finished in that time.

The first virtual quilt looked something like the one above, and evolved into a series after a play session in Electric Quilt sometime later.

After Pompeii 38

I love the designs in the series, and when I do open it up to share something I wonder why I don’t share some of the contents of the project file more often.

After Pompeii 39

Leave a comment before the weekend is over and you just might be the lucky one who will get ato choose a free pattern from my website.

After Pompeii 40

Love this last one!

Some statistics  for you … 4560 plus virtual quilts, 300,000 page views, nearly 200 people receive an email each time I publish a new design, around 200 check out the designs through a reader … and over 150 follow the Facebook Page.

Thank you all for your interest, and also the Electric Quilt Company for a great program!

You, and coffee, make it worth getting up in the mornings to add a virtual quilt design every day.

Speaking of morning coffee … I have been on antibiotics for a couple of weeks, and avoiding coffee. The pills are almost all gone, and on Sunday morning I can have a coffee … you are welcome to join me, but not in person. I would hate for anybody to get between me and the kettle first thing on Sunday morning, and after the first coffee for nearly three weeks is consumed who knows what will happen! Could be miracles, could be mayhem!

.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

    • Jennifer,

Thank you! While other people enjoy it I will keep sharing … if everybody stopped looking I would just do it for me … which is how it all started.

  3. What an amazing feat Judy. Have you thought about The Guinness Book of Records? Has anyone made more virtual quilts than you? Ever?

Coffee on Sunday morning sounds great, but I suspect you’ll have yours a good 12 hours before me!

    • Jan,

Interesting thought! I can remember being very impressed with a collection of 1,000 quilt blocks in a book … I could fill an equivalent book with my own block designs and have spares … but I wonder if there is any record of virtual quilts!

As for the coffee time, yes, I will have mine a little earlier than you! But only on the world clock … we will both have one soon after getting up for the day!

    • Carol,

I will enjoy every sip … and me sense of smell is looking forward to the aroma! Thank goodness I don’t live with a coffee drinker. Recent mornings would have been torture.

I agree I love the last one as well. Enjoy your coffee. I know I love my coffee as well and that sounds so good I think I will go pour myself a cup now! Congrats on your stats. I really can’t imagine being able to design as many quilts as you have!

This is one of the first designs I saw when I came across you on the internet. Absolutely love it.
Your quilts always inspire me to persevere with EQ I am getting there but, not spending nearly as much time on it as I should/could.
As for the coffee – can’t imagine a day without let alone 3 weeks – well done you.

    • Cherie,

Keep plugging away at EQ … I use it like I used to use Solitaire when I first bought a computer … a game to play while not really watching TV!

It wasn’t well done to abstain from coffee for three weeks … most food and fluids felt like chalk in my mouth. Thankfully the taste buds are back to normal!

I love your designs, Judy B! They are truly one of a kind and so eye catching. Not sure I could survive 3 weeks w/o my java, but you should be proud that you made it! I will join you in that virtual gallon of coffee in the morning…you deserve every drop!

I am not commenting here as I don’t quilt – just asking, how was the coffee?
