I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.
I can visualize this with hand-dyed fabrics…they would really pop against a black background. Maybe some quilting done with red thread too.

Laura,
Providing they are bright they would be great, but I would use black thread against the black. (Or maybe a thicker thread in red.)

Yup. Go bold! Thick red thread. LOL!

If I am going to break my own rules I really like to ignore them altogether!

Great design. I see 3D. You should enter it in the clubEQ challenge for 9-patch if you can change it to red and white??

Kat,
I wondered if anybody would see the 3D … it wasn’t intentional, but happy to take what comes when I am playing. Especially if it comes in 3D!

I like the black background and the bold colours! I think the contrast of applique and basic block design make a difference as well, good choice.

Marie,
I love the way colours jump out of a dark background. Even pastel colours look good against dark.
I also like some quick piecing mixed with slower applique when making a quilt top.
