OK, time to give away a copy of the latest Quiltmaker Magazine, but sorry, only to an Aussie.
On Page 32 there is a String of Beads design … which I lifted from one of the series of designs I have been sharing here as virtual quilts. It is one that was on the waiting list for it to have a moment in the spotlight, but it happened on the printed page rather than the blog page. The best part is that you don’t just get the pattern, some instructions and quilting options, there is even a real quilt in the photos!
So, if you would like a real magazine with a picture of a real quilt along with pattern and instructions to make it, leave a comment below sometime over the weekend. I will get back to the winner by email to get a postal address to add to the envelope containing the magazine … then I just have to add stamps and it will be on its way early next week.
That is not the only thing I am giving away this weekend ….
Tomorrow I will have something for Electric Quilt 7 users, no matter where you live, and on Sunday there will be a PDF pattern for anybody from anywhere. The three winners will be drawn on Monday and I will be in contact soon after … they will named here when I share the virtual design on Tuesday.
(If the winners are from the other side of the world there is a chance they could be notified earlier, but I will try to remember to wait until the whole world is Monday before I draw the winners to be fair to the late comers!)
If you miss out on all of them, there are two variations of the String of Beads patterns with full instructions available on my website along with a variety of other designs.
I love the beaded block series. I went and subscribed to Quiltmaker just so I could have the pattern!!!

Charmaine,
That was my reaction when I saw the first black and white picture of a block nearly 30 years ago. Still love it and the possibilities!

Congrats on being published! I recognized your quilt as soon as I opened the magazine. Excellent! I’m in the USA, so don’t put my name in the hat this time. Just wanted to pop in and give you the thumbs up!

Liz,
Thank you! It is a design which deserves more recognition than it has had in the past … and it is a great inspiration to play with the design.

Laura,
Thank you … it all sort of feels like making a quilt by remote control! But I am pleased to know it is made and looks good!

Congratulations on being published!. I enjoy the String of Beads, and that’s saying something for someone who’s not usually into applique. I like today’s, pretty in pinks!

this looks really good Judy congrats on being published and having the quilt made, by remote control even … unfortunately the newsagent here does not carry quiltmaker magazine.

Sandy,
Thank you … lovely to find a remote control when the man of this house is at home, but I bet I couldn’t get him to make a quilt with or without a remote.
