City Courthouse 43 and 44

City Courthouse 44

Seems a pity that courthouses are wasted on crooks … specially ones as grand as these quilt designs!

City Courthouse 45

The second one may be a bit over the top though!

I had a lovely time last weekend, which involved nagging the hostess to update her blog … wasn’t me … honestly!!! Well, not alone!

A blog post because I am being nagged

Before we had left the building the blog had been updated again … with photos!

EQ Retreat report and a finished quilt!

I am hoping that the other people in the photo shoot will be practicing their Electric Quilt skills quite a bit over the next few weeks!

I know that I had better play around a bit too … I found some new things along with those I was teaching!

Great company. Great food! Great weekend!

If you are looking for a venue for a small group to retreat from the world and do some quilting The Sanctuary in Bordertown, South Australia, is a very nice place to go.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

  1. Looks like a lovely group of women to spend a retreat with! I really like the journals! What’s in them? Lessons? Designs the women came up with? Special notes?

Love the first one! Sounds like you had a very fruitful weekend. There must be quite a few out there with Electric Quilt. I can sort of see how you have more fun designing quilts rather than making them. I think it would be harder to choose which one to make……. Where do you find the time? Anyway, I enjoy your creations

    • Marie,

Choosing a quilt to make with so many deigns on hand comes down to why I am making the quilt. I am planning a couple for a particular person, and she likes things totally out of my comfort zone, so I am having to start something completely new to me! My family all appreciate what I make, but most of them would not choose to live with the same things I would like around me! Electric Quilt allows me to design quilts I would like to live with as well as ones I would appreciate more in the cupboard than in use around me all the time.

Finding time … I sit down at the computer for half and hour … and two hours later I am running late with other plans! Times goes way too fast when you are having fun.
