Ten + Mods Introduction

Ten Plus Mods Sampler c

I wanted to try using the ribbon like effect and the easiest way to try something like that is to design some virtual quilts in a new Electric Quilt project file.

This time I have gone back to EQ6 to play … seems I left some toys in my old toy box when I bought the new one!

I have selected ten blocks, then added some modified blocks to use with them.

Ten Plus Mods Sampler aThe reason I have modified some of the blocks is because I couldn’t get around corners nicely.

(Or I just wanted to play!)

But where there is a will there is a way!

Introducing how Electric Quilt 7 can use block designs using squares and rectangles as the basis of a quilt setting.

From Block to Quilt Setting

This is the lead in to a series of quilt designs based on a block designs … well, each block design will of course lead to a series of designs. It’s not like I have run out of designs using  equal sized square blocks set either straight or on point, and maybe playing with the sashing to make it a feature of a design, it is just another part of my favourite toy thing.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.
