Red and White 2 Block OP 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20

Red and White 2 block OP 16

I feel as though I should get back to work … if you can call working with virtual quilts work!

With this series I am working through combinations of two 9 patch blocks.

The blocks are ones I have found while playing … and many of them I haven’t seen elsewhere.

(I have used the same block in the first two designs, just added red to the centre of one of the blocks.)

Now the second block has changed … and boy! what a change in the results.

Another block change, another very distinctive design.

And again with the big change.

Some of these designs appeal to me, some don’t, but I am working my way through  all the possible combinations to see what happens.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

The movement in the quilts is remarkable! Bravo! Especially number three and four…

    • This is like fishing… throw in a line and see what comes in. These are some of the simplest blocks I have found, but there is a lot of action happening with them. More complex blocks need more than two fabrics, so there wil be even more happening if I go that far with this experiment!
