Burgoyne Surrounded by the Irish 42, 43, 44 and 45

BSI 42

Burgoyne Surrounded is a block that has intrigued me for a long time … it is a much more complex block than pretty much anything I have seen from that time.

BSI 43

The block may be complex by comparison to others but it is made up of squares and rectangles … no odd shapes.

BSI 44

However, just because the block is intriguing in its own right doesn’t stop me playing with it, and mixing it up with Irish Chain blocks and using sashing as an integrated part of the design.

BSI 45

Mixing Burgoyne Surrounded with Irish Chain blocks can make for even more complex designs, but still using just squares and rectangles.
