I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.
I am a sucker for any black and white with a touch of red. I so want to dig out my fabric and play but I am being very good and not starting anything new until I finish a current commitment………. no matter how much you tempt me!

Karen,
I love the colour combination, but have very little of them in my stash … maybe because I have never been tempted to decorate a room with those colours; and these stark colours would jar a bit in my usual country colours with a pretty bland but creamy background colour. The latter is courtesy of rented housing.

Orlie,

I am a fan of black, white and red too. And black, white and lime. And black, white and yellow. LOL! Love the design!

So I could have chosen anything! I followed thr rule I learnt from Jinny Beyer many moons ago … light, medium and dark, and a touch of something bright!

Jinny Beyer is an expert on color, in my humble opinion!

Laura,
Jinny Beyer is* the *expert on colour in quilts. And* that* opinion is not humble!
The third patchwork book I found was Scrap Quilts by Jinny Beyer … her first book. just a little book about colour and charm quilts. Some of the books in my quilting library have increased in value ten fold since I bought them, but that little book has more real value in the content than any other book I own. It is followed by Jinny’s other books, Judy Martin’s Scrap Quilts and others, and the two Super Quilter books by Carla Hassel.

I have several of Jinny’s books, including Designing Tessellations, Color Confidence and a Christmas book. And yes, a pretty good library of quilt books too!
