Can you see what I did to create those ‘squares’ ?

They have created the subtle impression of a large square on point … or am I just seeing things?

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

  2. No – you are not seeing things – tips over square-en-pointe with paw!

That is so clever and yet so very simple. Love things that trick your eye and make you look twice at it.

    • Karen,

So do I. Have to admit though, tha sometimes when I am moving things around in designs I only t see the obvious … and find the tricks later! When I find the trick I look for similar tricks, which will add more designs to project file..

  4. Love the design! I see the square on point, and I love how the square is depicted in several ways here. Even the applique can be seen as a square on point when viewed as a whole, rather than just looking at each individual block.

    • Laura,

The more I look at this design the more I see.

Each time I play with design now in EQ I find I am doing more complex designs which look simple at first but have the hidden designs which appear later … usually I start seeing them when I am going through the motions of getting them from EQ to blog!
