Tangled Irish Chains 4

Take some Single Irish Chain blocks, fiddle with the colours a bit, throw in some Triple Irish Chain blocks and a dozen plain squares and this is what you get.

With care you could do it with scraps, but it would be much easier to make these blocks from yardage, and would be easier to keep the fabrics in the right places too.

i think it’d be totally cool if it was blacks and white and one single pop of color on that middle square…..

    • mnemosyne,

You are right … though I would add a few more bits of red.

I have been thinking about starting a new series of virtual quilts … perhaps I should think about black and white with a splash of red!

Mmm….I can think of some other great colour combinations for this too – nasturtium colours for a start!
