Hand Quilting

Later in October I am planning a virtual quilting bee, when I will show some quilting designs on some virtual quilts.

I am trying to get something worth looking at from the elements above and some others.

It is still taking me quite some time to create quilting motifs to fit on and around the motifs on a block without hiding the block design, or even disguising the fabric too much. In real quilts it is the shadows of the ditch which distort the block design … in Electric Quilt it is the lines running all over the place.

The link above is to a hand quilting tutorial worth taking a look at.

You can practice while waiting for my virtual quilting bee!

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

I rather like this but my paws are allergic to sewing needles!

I like your quilting design – I am looking forward to this quilting segment. I have started quilting my Mystery Log cabin. I will send you a picture when it is done.
    Bye now hugs
