Tangled Irish Chains 2

A very simple combination of double and single Irish Chain blocks with some very interesting shading created with a few fabric changes.

This design would also be simple to piece, providing your seam allowances are spot on, because there are different numbers of seam lines in the two blocks.

By the time you are reading this I will on the road on a five hour road trip, on my way to a couple of days of preparation for two weekend retreats.

I will be passing (who am I kidding!) stopping at one of my favourite quilt shops along the way with lunch in hand in the hope that they will offer me a coffee.

I have no intentions of making any purchases, but will check out the books, fabrics, threads, so who knows what will have to fit in the car along with the boxes of fabric for sale during the next two weekends at the Hi-Fibre Retreats. (The hi fibre has more to do with the fabric and threads than the food!)

I must remember to get a couple of bottles of bubbly stuff while at the quilt shop!

While I am away there are two more White Weddings, three Mid Week Log Cabin Retreats, and in between the usual offering of a daily virtual quilt.

I promise I have checked the schedule at least a dozen times to make sure it is ready, but there will be little I can do about it once I leave the vicinity of my computer anyway. Though you never know when I might find someone elss computer to check in!

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

good to hear the fun is about to commence… and this little Double Irish Chain, to me, is the best so far. I really like the colouring and the overall arrangement. It is refreshingly simple!
