Burgoyne Surrounded by Irish or BSI 21

Apart from the alternative corner in the bottom left corner, I like this one!

I have added some sashing, sometimes contrast, some times matching the background, to spice up this series ….. and I am liking it.

Also liking the plain blocks for some quilting …. perhaps some four-leaf clover.

  Perhaps we should call it Irish American ….. the Burgoyne Surrounded block was created to commemorate the British under General Burgoyne being surrounded by (and surrendering to) the Americans in 1777.
  
  I have combined it with Irish Chain blocks just because I could!
