OK, it had to happen sooner or later!
What if …… I break the rules I set at the start of this series?
Use two or more blocks and rearrange them at will to see what happens. There are still over 200 designs left in the file, and some of them are great designs, but …….
……….what if I use some sashing, but not all of it, and some plain blocks?
So I started going through the original EQ Dozen project file and putting in a few plain blocks and some, but not all the sashing.
And the new file will be way bigger than the original file, because I am saving two or three versions of each of the original ones.
Which means if you pick a dozen of your favourite blocks and keep making them over and over again you can combine them over and over again for the rest of your life and still keep finding new ways to combine them. Even if you had an inexhaustable supply of the same fabrics!
And right now I am going to go back to the file and make a couple of changes to this design to show you later on.
I like it. It’s easy on the eyes.

Tattingchic, Yes it is. I think I am looking for somewhere to give the eyes a rest in every design. Possibly a reaction to lots of busy, busy quilts around at all levels and in all styles. There just seems to be too much crowded onto lots of them at the moment. Thank you for pointing out to me what I am doing! And what I will continue doing to, by the way, both here and in real quilts.
