Back to Electric Quilt blocks.
I have always loved the KISS principle, ‘Keep it Simple, Stupid!’ The EQ Dozen quilts look quite complicated, but they are simply blocks arranged in simple straight settings. It takes just a few minutes to change a few blocks in the regular pattern to create a different quilt in Electric Quilt. However, I have decided I will never make one of them, because how could I pick out just one?
Anyone with EQ6 can find the blocks and most of the fabrics (the paisley was a monthly download from Electric Quilt I think) or I can send you a copy of the file containing just the handful of fabrics, the twelve blocks and one ‘changed’ block, and the sampler quilt shown below. Just leave a message asking nicely and I will send it in the next couple of days, but only until the end of the month. After that you will have to do the search, or just watch what I have done!
You could also start your own EQ 12, by selecting 12 blocks and about the same number of fabrics, and using them in any way you can think of in a a quilt layout of your choice.
Hi Judy, I found your website a few weeks ago, and would love a copy of the EQ dozen blocks. I’ve been drawing out some of your designs in EQ, then adding my own tweaks and having so much fun! Shame I’m never going to get to make most of the quilts, unless I live to about 200 or something!
Happy quilting! Yvonne

Hi Judy,
The quilt is just lovely. I would love for you to send me a copy of it. Lately, I have been working with the celtic design motif.
Thank you,
Quiltingly,

Yvonne,
There is no law which says you have to make every quilt you design!
Wendy,
Celtic style designs are fascinating,
Have fun with the project file.
