Electric quilt 6 has some preset quilt designs, including a book shelf with lettering, which is a row by row layout with applique text added.
I haven’t changed the lettering on this, though I have added my own books to the shelves, and changed the shelves a little. And changed the fabrics too, but with all that, about 20 minutes, and if I wanted to make it as it is, it is ready to print out a shopping list and paper foundations or rotary cutting instructions, and the applique patterns.
If I take this further I would spend more time to find another quote, and then experiment with the font collection on my computer.

You make me want this software! I have the “baby” version – Quilt Wizard – but I know some day I will have to upgrade, even if it is only to beg you for some of your designs! Right now, though, baby steps are as much as I can handle!

Ok I love love the bookshelf. Want to make one…I have EQ5,6, and have EQ7 upgrade coming…but for now I mostly play in EQ6….I would certainly be interested in your bookshelf…

I have to apologize as I no longer have that file in EQ6, and cannot even find it in EQ6, EQ7 or EQ8. I no longer have copies of many of the older files in their original format, though most of them I think (at least I hope) I have updated to EQ8.
