Middle of the week again!

Log Court series is restricted to layouts with 3×3 or 5×5 blocks, sometimes on point like this one.

City Court is the big brother with blocks set 7×7.

Love the versions of this cross which appear a lot when I am playing with Courthouse Steps blocks.

If you make 64 Log Cabin blocks, please consider using something other than Straight Furrows, Streak of Lightning or Barnraising layouts.

There are over 1000 symmetrical layouts, plus over 3500 asymmetrical, and that is without getting too fancy.

The only thing you have to do is make sure that you have good contrast between light and dark.

But then, you need good contrast in every quilt design to showcase the design, otherwise they all look like a dog’s dinner.

Not sure that it will be a favourite, but like the idea of adding the circles behind some of the blocks.

A new pattern sheet has been added today, which means that there are only five of the six featured in the book are now available.

I am giving up commenting on Blogspot … let me know when the problem with word verification is fixed …  have just tried to comment, checked very carefully five times that I have got the letters correct and was still refused … please ask them to fix it if you are on Blogspot!

When that problem is fixed, do you really need verification and moderation?

Love this sort of colour scheme … I have a lot of cream in my stash, and don’t need a lot of any colours …

Time to diet … half as many virtual quilt designs from now on.

(But diets always get broken!)

I love sharing two or more designs a day … but sometimes upload time isn’t available, sometimes computer/internet at fault, sometimes real life just gets in the way, so I am not putting myself under the pressure to share two a day everyday.

So, from today, you will get two if I have a willing computer and time to have fun!

I will be using some of the time I would otherwise spend on the boring bits of selecting and uploading designs preparing other stuff to share … including the booklet I mentioned yesterday.

I like it like that!

Did you know that there are over 500 different virtual quilt designs featuring Log Cabin blocks on this blog?

I didn’t until a little while ago when I was looking for a picture to illustrate something and opened the picture file on my computer which contains all the virtual quilt designs I have used here.

So, why not make your Log Cabin quilt a bit different to the usual ones out there.
