Nice one!

Love this sort of colour scheme … I have a lot of cream in my stash, and don’t need a lot of any colours …

Time to diet … half as many virtual quilt designs from now on.

(But diets always get broken!)

I love sharing two or more designs a day … but sometimes upload time isn’t available, sometimes computer/internet at fault, sometimes real life just gets in the way, so I am not putting myself under the pressure to share two a day everyday.

So, from today, you will get two if I have a willing computer and time to have fun!

I will be using some of the time I would otherwise spend on the boring bits of selecting and uploading designs preparing other stuff to share … including the booklet I mentioned yesterday.

I like it like that!

Did you know that there are over 500 different virtual quilt designs featuring Log Cabin blocks on this blog?

I didn’t until a little while ago when I was looking for a picture to illustrate something and opened the picture file on my computer which contains all the virtual quilt designs I have used here.

So, why not make your Log Cabin quilt a bit different to the usual ones out there.

Bright and lots of fun.

Lots of fun to swap colours.

Now it just so pretty and romantic.

Back to bright colours again.

Now very faded.

(Extreme washing!)

I would prefer living with the pale and pretty.

I like the contrast in the bright versions, but that contrast needs work in the pretty ones.

Something else I would do to refine the last design … make the floral border wider. It is the same dimensions as the bright version of the design, but the balance has been altered by putting the dark in the centre of the design in the light version.

The corners are holding everything in place!

The corners are still holding on!

Without the second block design I can see a wonderful clear space for quilting … or a simple, small applique.

Might have to try placing that shape in the centre of a design.

Dancing stars.

Would be a good looking quilt on a bed, either patchwork and applique or a rich embroidered fabric.

As always, I love this series.

Elegant.

My red and green designs have a lot more green than most red and green quilts … I think my colour preference is showing!

This one looks more like an album quilt … but usually an album quilt is made using all different blocks, like a sampler quilt.

Perhaps this is a Formal Album … more planned than just an album quilt.

New block pattern sheet is available … get it while you can.

I have started designing with just the blocks I have shared, but the current offerings will start disappearing as more pattern sheets are added.

Found!

An Electric Quilt project file with some very pale and pretty designs with so little contrast between background and the applique ‘beads’ they just about disappeared.

So I started adding some more colourful beads and of course rearranging blocks too.

Also modifying some of the blocks so that the design above ..

… becomes something like this.

But wait … there will be more sometime.

New block pattern sheet coming tomorrow.
