It was five years ago today that the Virtual Quilter was born, so I am going to go back to my early days of using Electric Quilt 5 to draw blocks.
This is a design from one of my EQ5 projects … I was learning to draw applique blocks at the time.
If you click on the picture you will see just how badly the blocks meet. Every so often I try matching up the details but then get carried away playing with the designs rather than fixing the block problems!
The block designs were inspired by wrought iron lace on buildings, but morphed into a combination of stained and lead light glass inspired by wrought iron!
I have several project files … this is just one of them, so be warned, there will be more of these style designs … and maybe I will start tidying up the blocks rather than just create quilt designs with miss matched blocks!
This last one is Virtual Quilt 3400 brought to you in 2155 posts.
And if I don’t soon hit the publish button this is going to arrive late!
