EQ and Me 1 and 2

EQ and Me 1

I set everything up yesterday to make today’s choice of virtual quilt quick and easy. So this morning I found a project file with a sampler ready to add some virtual designs and I started playing.

The colour scheme is one I used a lot of in the 1980s when I first started, and from memory, I think I picked the fabrics after I had been washing some of those old quilts.

I am thinking of starting a new series so I can play with something totally different, but that won’t happen today! Well, not for you, anyway.

Today’s virtual quilts are from that play session, which will continue after I share these two!

EQ and Me 2

A lot of the blocks are originals, some are from the EQ library, and some will be modified as I see fit!

I have just a minute to publishing deadline … so I am going to hit the publish button and get back to playing!

(And also check that I haven’t started this series in another project file somewhere in the depths of my documents files.)

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

It’s Christmas in the Spring time! This is what the beginning of spring feels like. Apple and plum blossom and budding new leaves.

Judy, You really know how to make it hard to pick a pattern. This is Super GREAT. I really enjoy how you can come up with all the patterns.

    • Orlie,

I didn’t know I could come up with so many designs, but playing in EQ has taught me heaps about what works when designing quilts. Most of the lessons are things I would never have tried if i was making real quilts … there is not enough money in my fabric budget to buy enough fabric to experiment with, and doing it on paper would take a lot of colour pencils. Not enough time in one lifetime either!
