Some visual lines are on the straight grain, some are on the cross … and all the blocks are set on point to create that effect. Tip your head to one side to see what it would look like with the blocks set straight!
Bit of difference, isn’t there.
I prefer the on point variation. (Perhaps because I won’t get a sore neck looking at it!)
